Better for Double??? | |

| I love the product and it sits on my City Double just like I have seen others work (BOB). I'm thinking this thing is just designed for the double...it looks sturdy, sits closer to me, and doesn't change the size of stroller too much at all. If you notice, many reviews are for single and minis. If you just have one baby, buy a travel system and save yourself some hassle! | |

| This a terrible product! I agree with a lot of the other reviews that this adaptor is way too difficult to install. My husband had the worse time trying to install it because the directions are really bad. (I actually feel all of the directions for this stroller and its accessories are not written clearly.) Also it's very clumsy to fold and put in your car with the adaptor attached. I have a 2007 Toyota Rav4 and am only 5 feet tall and it was very cumbersome for me. I was using a Graco Snugride infant car seat with the adaptor and it just rests on the bars of the adaptor. It would have been much better if the car seat clicked into place like on my Bugaboo stroller. Instead you just place it on and tie it down with a strap. I only used it twice with my infant and toddler in the stroller and both times I didn't feel my infant was safe. The car seat slid off a little bit last time even though I tied the strap tightly around it. I wish I could return it, but I foolishly asked for it as a gift and didn't read the reviews first. My suggestion is to definitely not waste your money on this product. Since the seat fully reclines, you can lay your infant in it. That's what I just started doing with my now 3 month old baby. | |
Not what I thought it would be

| While the car seat adapter seemed safe, it sits out very far from the stroller (not like other stroller models with similar adapters). On my City Mini model, the carseat sat over the feet area of the stroller. It was not compatible with the built-in shade covers on the stroller. I didn't like how far the baby is from where I stand to push (too far to touch baby's face while pushing). While there was plenty of room for the second child, I decided to return product. Instead I have been using a snuggle wrap for the baby (has head and side supports). This has worked out well for the past 4 months, and I'm sure she'll be able to sit in seat alone in next few months. It would have been nice if this car seat adapter was more like other brands, but for Baby Jogger Strollers I don't think it is that great. | |
not what you'd think it is....

| Just tried it on my city classic double....thought it would be similar to a bob/valco/bumbleride indie twin...no it's not! car seat sits up oddly high off the seat and far forward (seat does not help support/hold in place the car seat), and it looks space-like as the seat is just "floating" up there. like i said, not like bobs...cool idea to slide back and forth but makes it so the seat must sit way far in the footwell area. also, way too pricey! come on, another hundred bucks almost?? just lay baby flat in seat or use your single with a car seat adaptor (we use our mini single). also does not come on/off easily (you must screw it on under seat frame) so it makes my already huge stroller even bigger!! pass on this one for sure! | |
directions unclear/incorrect, NOT stable
| Luke's mom at Babies R Us on 08/08/2009 | |

| I agree with the person who outlined the problems with the directions. I will add this:

The carseat does not "lock" into place. It rests in place and there is a strap to secure the carseat. However, because it is not locked into place, if you graze/gently move around the carseat, the carseat jostles backwards. I can see my toddler doing this with ease from the seat next to him. For this reason, I am most certainly returning it. I wish I would have known this b/c I would haven not gotten the stroller either (and I have the City Mini single and love it). BTW, I would have given it zero stars but the program wouldnt allow me. --- had to give at least one but clearly it is 0.

| TWO VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS BEFORE YOU BUY...

1. it is REALLLY HEAVY. i mean it weighs about 10lbs and is thick thick steel...

2. The car seat adaptor sits over the FOOTWELL, not the stroller seat like the bob's. Baby will be hard to reach for anything....

I personally think this is WAYYY overpriced, the stroller reclines FLAT (unlike a bob) so you can put a newborn in their if need be.

You'd be much better off with a single stroller that takes a car seat for errands and have the older child walk or sling the newborn and toddler in the stroller.....
Double stroller infant car seat adaptor

| Have 2 1/2 and infant so thought this adaptor would be perfect. The infant car seat sat far out from stroller and looked weird and bulky. Was difficult to navigate stroller with the attached car seat especially in mall doorways. I always felt like we installed it incorrectly because the directions were horrible. The baby was very far away. We had the Peg Perrego infant car seat which I think also made the difference depending on what car seat you own.
I ended up using my old stroller and having my toddler walk with me when going out shopping. Would not recommend this attachment, and it is overpriced!

| The car seat adaptor is very awkward and the instructions are horrible. The seat sits out far from the stroller and makes you feel uncomfortable as a mom with a tiny infant. | |

| Pros-Easy to get baby in and out of car without disturbing her
-Easy to assemble
-Very sturdy

Cons-It makes the stroller really, really heavy
-Hard to get in and out of car on my own
-You need a big trunk to fit the stroller with car seat adaptor attached
-Does not work with the canopy on the stroller-this is rather annoying, but I just drape a blanket over the stroller canopy and car seat canopy
