CHICCO KEYFIT 30 DOES WORK!! YAY!

After researching this stroller and reading many reviews on how it did and did not work with the CHICCO KEYFIT 30 car seats, I decided to just buy it and try it for myself. Even though the Babies R Us website and Baby Trend website said it was now compatible with these car seats, the instruction manual did not explain how to adjust the stroller to accommodate for the Chicco seats like they did with Peg Perrgo, Evenflo, ect. My husband and I couldn't figure how to turn the metal bars to fit the Keyfit 30 seats. What disappointment. Then, I found a video on You Tube on how to make our seats work and here I am sharing it with you. TAKE OFF ALL of the skinny metal bars and turn the swivel grey plastic pieces on the back to point towards the middle. [@](that link is the instructional video).I am SO glad I found the video because I was going to return the stroller. Now that it works, I am SO HAPPY! The stroller is super light weight, stores nicely, maneuvers easily and the best part....it will accommodate my twins using the preferred CHICCO KEYFIT 30 Car Seats. We actually have 3 twin strollers but they all have their own purpose. (Jogger, side by side, and now this babytrend snap and go double.) -That's just part of having twins. :) Only downfall- this stroller is more for use when they are probably 6 months or under because they will get heavy and the one in the front may be able to kick the seat seating in front of him. However, I rather spend the $100 for the easier commuting and convenience you get w/ the Snap and Go Double. GOOD LUCK! I hope this helps. :)

What a LIFE SAVER!!

The stroller is amazing. My husband and I first got the travel system for our twin boys. After many complaints (before they were born) about how heavy the stroller was by my husband, we decided to look for an alternative. When I saw this online and noticed how light the weight was, I was sold. When we received it, I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up, pick up, and put the babies' seats into it. I have read some complaints about using it for the Graco 32 seats. I have no problems with it. If you use the strap to hold the front of the seats in, there is no problem. I went grocery shopping with the boys the other day. I was able to manuver the stroller with one hand in front of me while pulling the cart behind me. The basket underneath is a nice size, but wasn't large enough to go food shopping. I love this stroller. It fits nicely in my little hyundai elantra trunk with room to spare for whatever I went shopping for. Don't hesitate to buy this item!

Awesome stroller

I bought this stroller so I didn't have to pay for a double with seats and have to lug the thing in and out of my truck. It was a wise solution seeing that I was going to have some trouble lifting heavy things having a c-section. This was perfect very lightweight folded compactly enough that it fit between my front seat and the baby's carseat. I did use them with the Baby Trend Galaxy carseats so I followed the instructions which said to take off the little safety bars and use the thicker ones to hold it in place as well as the little prong type things by the cup holder. It was easy to use but I had to discontinue using it when my daughters gained so much weight really quick I did get a good almost eight months though and yes it is very easy to turn, when they were first born I could push it with one hand.

Very Light and Useful

This stroller is a great option for twin parents! It is very light weight and can handle a variety of brand car seats. It fit easily into the trunk of our small sedan. Unfolding and re-folding are extremely easy (one handed). It maneuvers easily while the babies are small, and gets a little tougher as they grow, but not too bad. The storage compartment is a little hard to get to when both babies are in, but still worth it for the ease. Once babies outgrow the car seats, it's time for a new stroller.

It's really the only option

It's really the only option out there for newborn twins, it is the only stroller that holds 2 car seats. Even the BOB double stroller only holds one car seat. We use it with the Babytrend car seats so they snap in easily. I like that it's light weight and folds up pretty small.

LOVE IT!

Best invention ever! So convenient, very lightweight. Putting a drink in the cup holders is not a good idea, but other than that no complaints! Any parent of multiples should have this product!

Negative Reviews:

Cheap. Chicco seats? Look elsewhere.

CAVEAT EMPTOR. It says on the Baby Trends website that this stroller adapts to fit Chicco KeyFit 30 car seats; this is only technically true by the most slender of margins.

All other acceptable models of car seat have standardized brackets and safety bars onto which they can be attached firmly to this stroller, but in order to fit the Chicco seats YOU MUST REMOVE ALL THE SAFETY BARS and trust the entire weight of both seats and children to a thin, awkwardly placed strap. The front seat will tip backwards (since it's not bracketed to anything, it pivots easily) and the child inside will have limited legroom and kick mercilessly at the top of the rear seat. (If you've found the YouTube instructional video, watch how she doesn't actually push down or forward on the seats when "verifying" that they're in solidly...)

The manual is written in broken English with almost no actual instructions. Their addition of the Chicco models was almost certainly an afterthought to the original design; instead of the Chicco information being actually printed in the manual, there's a big sticker put on the back page after-the-fact.

There's a reason they don't sell these in-store: nobody in their right mind would buy it after testing it. If this stroller were a car, it'd be a Yugo. Run away.

Didn't like it too much

I originally go this Snap n Go via online and traded it in for the Graco Snap n Go for several reasons. I'd like to note that I do have Baby Trend's Expedition jogger and like that a lot.

The handle is not adjustable. I'm 5'2 and my husband is 6'. The adjustable feature on the Graco was much better for us.

The basket on the Graco extended out longer, making it much easier to get things in and out when the car seat was in place. This Baby Trend Snap n Go's basket stops right under the car seat so it's hard to grab things from the back. You'd have to get it from the front end.

Positives about this one is that you have the closed compartment on the handle. Kind of nice to put your keys in or phone but it's not enough of a perk for me. Other perks are that it's easy to close and lightweight. But so is the Graco.

Overall, same price for both but I'd go with the Graco above the Baby Trend Snap n Go.

Very Disappointed

I registered for this stroller for my twin boys to use with the Chicco Key Fit 30 carseats. It CLEARLY states on the Baby Trend website that the Double Snap N' Go is compatible with the Chicco Key Fit 30 seats.

Not only is there no instructions for these seats in the manual so you're forced to call customer service (who never answers and eventually you're better off sending an email) but when you finally get a response, they tell you that you need to take all the safety bars OUT of the stroller so the seats will never lock in and you just need to use the strap to hold the seats in place.

We tried this and there is no way that any parent would think this was acceptable as far as safety.

Now I'm stuck because Chicco does not make a double stroller for use with infant seats either.

VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Would NOT recommend

We have 4 kids under 4 years old and bought this for our new baby twins. This stroller is aweful - while it has a swivel front wheel it is incredible difficult to turn when the babies/car seats are actually in the stroller. It takes two hands to negotiate and forget about getting it to move straight. I used this once and am getting rid of it. I am so unhappy with it I am not sure I can even sell it to some one else. I may just recycle it. I am on my way to buy a simple, double umbrella stroller that actually turns in the direction I want it to go. If you are considering this stroller I highly recommend trying it out first. WITH baby seats hooked in it!
