Toys R Us

Baby's First Blocks by Fisher-Price has 10 bright blocks that baby can drop into the open bucket or through the shape-sorting lid. Filling the bucket with blocks, dumping them out, and starting over is great for eye-hand coordination and other early skills. Then baby can move on to sorting and stacking, learning about identifying and matching shapes while having fun! There are 5 different shapes to help build early identification skills and a carry handle for take-along fun. Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items.

My Daughter Is Crazy About This Toy

Army Mom at Toys R Us on 06/06/2010

* If a parent sits down and plays with their child, then this is a great toy!
- sorting the colors
- sorting the shapes together

My Daughter enjoyed taking the lid off and then putting the blocks in the shapes ( while it's on the floor) and then lift the yellow lid back to the red bucket that she just finished emptying.

My daughter was given this toy at six months, and is 8 months now and crawls toward it. She just loves it.

Great product

My 10 months LOVES these blocks. We got them for her when she was about 6-7 months old. She loves the blocks for teething and is starting to stack them. The lid on the container is loose but I don't mind since she usually likes dumping the blocks out anyway...just have to be careful if we take the container of blocks anywhere. I would definitely recommend!

Love these!

We love this toy! My oldest daughter got it for her first birthday and now she's almost 4 and her 1 year old sister loves it! (My eldest still plays with it too, just in different ways!) It's held up to some extreme beatings and is easy to wash when needed! Love it!

Pretty is as Pretty Does!

I have always loved the different shapes for children to learn to fit to the right holes and I found this to be very colorful, very well priced and a very good choice. Soft smooth lines is the main thing I look for in small childrens toys and this certainly fits the bill.

Jack in a box

My daughter loves it, she loves to dig into the bucket until the very last item is out, she still hasn't been able to appropriately insert the objects in the hole it belongs to but it does help her with coordination and aim.

Handy/Bright/Affordable

This was a cool gift for my 1yr old niece. [...]!I was told the blocks were easy to maintain for cleaniness and large enough for the baby not to stuff in her mouth. Overall, the blocks came in handy.

AWESOME!!!

My boys LOVE this! My 3-year-old enjoys teaching my 1-year-old the names of the shapes and helping him fit the pieces in. Very sturdy and so easy to clean.

Gotta love learning and PINK!

Sucks, get a different one

There are much better shape sorters out there. This one the lid comes off so my kid has fun just dumping everything out. Look for some other brands before buying this one.
