Good Compact Swing

We bought this product for our twins after they were born. I never wanted a full-size swing in my house as we spend most of our time in our family room and a full size swing takes up way too much space. Plus, you never know if your baby will actually like a swing.

However, after our twins were born it was clear that they enjoyed swinging in our arms, so we got this when it just came out at Babies R Us.
When they were newborns, I have been able to turn on the swing and it would lull the baby to sleep or at least calm them down.

Our twins are six months now, and they have both enjoyed it for the past few months. They are now outgrowing this, but we still put them in it for a few minutes in the evening to wind them down. I initially installed the hanging yellow toy, but quickly took it off as our babies were never interested in it.

We also have occassionally used it in the fixed position with no problems. They don't care for the vibration/bouncy option. But that's the thing with babies, you just don't know what they'll like until you try it out with them. I would definitely recommend this as a compact swing to anyone who doesn't want a regular size one.

Pretty good

We bought this swing as a 2nd swing for our house. We originally bought the Fisher Price Precious Planet Cradle swing for our house. The baby loved it but because we moved into a 2 story house carrying that up and down the stairs wasn't fun. We decided to keep that swing upstairs for night time and buy a smaller swing for downstairs that we could also take out back by the pool. The baby (8 weeks old) loves this new Ocean swing and seat. We like it because it is small and easy to move around. We even take it with us to grandma's house. He likes the music, just wished it lasted longer. The second I turn it on he is all smiles. I wish it plugged in like my other swing. We have only had the swing a week so I am curious to find out how long the batteries will last. To me the seat isn't very soft but the baby doesn't seem to mind at all. It also does not offer support for the head and neck. But I'm sure you could buy something to add to it. Overall, I think it is a good buy. Wish I would have gotten this one before I bought a bouncer cause I probably would have skipped that purchase.

Great buy~2 for 1

This swing/vibrating seat is great. It is portable and easy to move around the house when needed. The swing has variable speeds that work great. I thought the lowest would be too fast for my newborn, but she did fine in it. She loves the bright colorful sea creatures and is starting to talk to them. The price is right too. This product will be useful as long as other swings that are much bigger and more expensive. The worst thing about it is switching from swing to vibrating chair as the plastic piece on the bottom is a tight fit, but no big deal there. The music is great, so much so that my older child wants it on cd!

Love this swing

This is a great space saver swing. It also vibrates, which I use simultaneously with the swing. I would definitely recommend this product. If you have small children in the house, you won't have to worry about them accidentally knocking it over. Overall I rate it, 5 stars. My son is 2 months and will only nap in the swing and no where else.

gret swing

Its nice but not the best..!!

I got this because it combined both the swing and bouncer in one and since we live in a small unit I thought it will be nice.I always loved the cradle swings from Fisher Price but those were big for our space,a bit on the pricey side and I wasn't sure if our baby would like the swing.
The toy on the swing is very boring and has never been able to get my daughter's attention.
The seat is not comfortable, especially for newborns.I had some blankets etc in there when she was just a few weeks old but cant do it anymore as then the safety belts won't fasten and its not safe to put her in there any more because she moves a lot.
the swing also lacks head support.
If they improve the seat cushioning and add a head support ,it can be one of the best swings out there.
My daughter actually enjoys her swing and now I wonder if I should have spent an extra $50 and gotten her the bigger one :(

Decent

As a first time mom, I am extra cautious about products I buy, its safety and comfort. The swing serves its purpose. The music is nice, but it stops playing so quickly and I have to turn it off and back on again to restart the music. I don't understand why Fisher didn't set the music to continue as long as the swing was in motion. Also, I think the swing is a bit strong in its slowest position for an infant. The first time I put my baby in it (2 weeks old), I thought oh my goodness, this swing is too strong for him. I thought I had it on too high, but I didn't. So I just let him sit in it instead of swing in it. I also don't like that it doesn't offer any head and neck support for infants. I don't know how Fisher overlooked this important feature. The calming vibrations don't seem to be of any use to my baby at all. .

Works well for us!

We have twin girls (currently 5 weeks) and needed a second swing for our bedroom; however, space was an issue. We bought this with a 20% off coupon, and for what we paid, it's worth every penny. I find the recline to be fine, we haven't needed any head/neck support, and the swing level on high is perfect to rock my babies back to sleep. We're pleased with our purchase.

It will work for what we need.

It appears very well made, cute fabic and appearance. The only thing that i did not like about this product is the motor is not very powerful. All the speeds seem the same to me. The highest speed is bearly rocking. It is convenient to keep at the "grandparents" house but he will probably grow out of it before we can use it too much long.
